A lifelong connection to this place
Flatbush, Alberta has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I, Tony, grew up in this area, where my family farmed until 1997. Most of the farm was eventually sold, but we chose to keep property nearby for recreation, so we could carry on enjoying the outdoors and everything this beautiful area has to offer.
For forty-seven years I have been fortunate enough to explore this region through every season — hunting, fishing, walking the forests, and experiencing the incredible peace and beauty that exists here. There is something special about this part of Alberta. It is, in many ways, a hidden gem: forests that stretch for miles, abundant wildlife, endless trails, and the kind of quiet and solitude that has become increasingly difficult to find. It is a place that has always felt like home.
Our family
Danielle's story is a little different. Originally from northeastern Brazil, she came to Canada in 2010 after we met while I was working in Brazil in the oil industry. Since then Canada has become home for our family, and Danielle has come to appreciate and love what makes this part of Alberta so special.
Our children, Alyssa and Jaxon, have been coming to Flatbush since they were just weeks old. Some of their earliest memories were made here — exploring the outdoors, spending time together as a family, and experiencing the freedom, adventure and simple pleasures that come with being surrounded by nature. Watching them grow up enjoying this area has made our connection to it even stronger.

Our vision for HavenRidge
From RavenRidge to HavenRidge
If you've known this special place as RavenRidge over the years, you may notice a new name on the door: HavenRidge.
While the name has changed, the place is still the same — and the memories created here — remain the same. HavenRidge is the next chapter of what was formerly known as RavenRidge, and we're excited to build on the foundation and experiences that came before us.
Over the years, through our own experiences and the many wonderful memories we've created here, we began to realize that we wanted to share this place with others. That's what ultimately led us to HavenRidge.
One day, we hope this will be a place where we can slow down, spend more time together as a family, and eventually retire. But retirement is still a little way off — so in the meantime, we thought, why not share this incredible place with others?
We wanted to create an opportunity for families to come together, for friends to reconnect, for couples to escape the demands of everyday life, and for people to simply slow down and enjoy the outdoors.
Our vision is not to create just another vacation rental. We want HavenRidge to be a full outdoor, recreational and reconnecting experience — a place where you wake to the sounds of nature, explore the trails, watch wildlife, gather around a fire under the stars, share a meal with people you care about, or simply sit quietly and take in the beauty around you.
For us, there is also a deeper appreciation for what surrounds us. We feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced so much of what God's creation has to offer in this area — the forests, wildlife, changing seasons, open skies and incredible landscapes.
We believe there is something restorative about being immersed in nature. Sometimes you just need to step away from the noise, put down the phone, breathe the fresh air, and take a moment to appreciate where you are.
That's the feeling we want HavenRidge to offer.

Sharing what we love
HavenRidge came into our lives through a wonderful opportunity when we first saw the property come up for sale. We were immediately drawn to it.
As we learned more about the property and its history, we realized that it wasn't simply a piece of land with a beautiful home. The original owners had created something truly special. They designed and developed it with an incredible amount of love, care and attention to detail, creating a retreat that reflected many of the same things that are important to our family. It felt like something that aligned naturally with who we are and what we value.
The property was thoughtfully designed as a place to gather, celebrate and create memories. It was previously set up to host weddings, elopements and other special occasions, and we believe it offers a truly unique setting for those experiences. But we also see HavenRidge as something much bigger than a venue: a place where a family can spend a weekend together, where friends can gather around a fire late into the evening, where a couple can celebrate an important milestone, where children can explore the trails and experience the freedom of the outdoors — or where someone can simply sit quietly, take a deep breath, and enjoy being somewhere peaceful.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found HavenRidge, and we want to be good stewards of what the original owners created while adding our own family story to it. Our hope is that when you leave HavenRidge, you don't just remember the property. You remember how you felt while you were here.
