House rules & property guidelines.

We're pleased to welcome you to HavenRidge and hope you enjoy the peace, privacy, and natural beauty of the property.

Welcome to HavenRidge

HavenRidge is a private rural retreat located on 142 acres of Alberta wilderness. Because of the size and nature of the property, there are a few important guidelines designed to keep our guests safe, protect the property and wildlife, and ensure that everyone has an enjoyable stay.

By booking and staying at HavenRidge, guests agree to follow the House Rules and Property Guidelines below.

1.Respect the property

Please treat HavenRidge as you would your own home.

  • Guests are responsible for leaving the property, furnishings, appliances, and outdoor areas in the same general condition in which they were found.
  • Please report any damage, malfunction, leak, broken item, or safety concern as soon as possible.
  • Do not move furniture, appliances, mattresses, or large items without permission.
  • Do not remove household items, linens, towels, kitchenware, décor, firewood, or other property from the premises.
  • Please use all appliances, equipment, fireplaces, hot tubs, sauna, outdoor facilities, and recreational equipment responsibly.
  • Guests may be charged for damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or repairs resulting from misuse or negligence.

2.Maximum occupancy & registered guests

  • Only guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay overnight.
  • The maximum overnight occupancy is based on the accommodation booked and must not be exceeded.
  • Additional overnight guests require prior approval.
  • Day visitors are permitted only with prior approval from HavenRidge.
  • Guests are responsible for ensuring that their visitors follow all HavenRidge rules.
  • Unapproved parties, gatherings, events, or additional overnight guests may result in termination of the stay without refund.

3.Quiet hours

HavenRidge is intended to provide a peaceful rural retreat.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

During quiet hours:

  • Since this is a remote environment music and voice levels are not really an issue but keep it within reason.
  • No amplified outdoor music past 10:00 PM.
  • Please be respectful of neighbours, wildlife, etc.
  • Outdoor activities should be conducted quietly after 10:00 PM.

4.Parties & events

HavenRidge is not a party house.

  • Parties, raves, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or large gatherings are not permitted unless specifically approved in writing.
  • Weddings, elopements, retreats, family gatherings, corporate events, and other organized events require prior approval and may be subject to separate terms, fees, occupancy limits, and agreements.
  • Guests may not advertise, promote, or host an event at HavenRidge without prior written approval.
  • Event guests who are not part of the reservation must be approved in advance.

5.Smoking & vaping

Absolutely NO smoking or vaping is permitted inside any HavenRidge building.

This includes:

  • Cigarettes
  • Cigars
  • Cannabis
  • Vapes/e-cigarettes

Smoking is permitted outdoors only in designated areas.

  • DO NOT throw cigarette butts on the ground.
  • DO NOT smoke near buildings, vehicles, propane equipment, dry grass, forested areas, or other fire hazards.
  • Cigarette butts must be completely extinguished and disposed of properly.

Because HavenRidge is surrounded by forest and natural vegetation, wildfire prevention is extremely important.

6.Fire safety & campfires

Fire is a serious concern in a rural and forested environment.

  • Outdoor fires are permitted only in designated fire pits or approved areas.
  • Never leave a fire unattended.
  • Fires must be completely extinguished before leaving the area or going to bed. Use a bucket of water and ensure fire is out. Bucket will be provided near fire pit. (Fire extinguisher will be near pit(s) in case of emergency).
  • Do not move fire pits or create new fire areas.
  • Do not burn garbage, plastics, cans, glass, or other prohibited materials.
  • Guests must follow all Alberta fire bans, restrictions, and local regulations.
